Overview
This is a temporary 6-month trainee role starting at £17,000. Successful trainees that meet the high standard required will be offered a full-time position at a higher salary.
This role does not require you to know SEO as you will receive training, however a Degree level qualification in a relevant subject area is preferred; however not a requirement, we will consider all relevant candidates.
In a nutshell, search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of optimising a website to appear higher in search engines and in recent years has rapidly become one of the most in-demand skills in digital marketing.
Due to this demand, we’re looking for ambitious graduates (preferably with a marketing degree) interested in pursuing a career in digital marketing at one of the fastest-growing search marketing agencies in Northern Ireland.

Day to day responsibilities
As an SEO trainee, you will learn and implement the fundamentals of search engine optimisation across multiple industries, these activities will include:
- Keyword research
- Competitor analysis
- Technical optimisation
- On-page optimisation
- Content optimisation
- Preparing monthly performance reports for clients
During the 6 month period you will also learn and use the following software:
- Google Analytics
- Google Search Console
- Google Tag Manager
- Ahrefs
- Screaming Frog / On Crawl
- Advanced Web Ranking
You will work alongside senior members of the team to ensure all activities are delivered to clients at a high standard.
What we expect from you
- Passionate about digital marketing with an interest and willingness to learn SEO
- Ability to problem-solve, but equally, know when to ask for help
- Ability to grasp complex and often technical subject areas
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- A self-starter with an outgoing and resilient nature
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong Google Sheet skills
